Food Finder | Subang Jaya

Beep beep beep...Food finder on the GO, Tuesday is far from Friday, we need goody food to satisfy our cravings.

Get your taste buds ready and FOLLOW me.

We'll start off with appetizer / side dish of the day with this EXTREMELY famous Rojak (Indian Mix Vegetables with special Sauce)

Yes!!! This is the only Roadside Rojak Stall that offers me crisps only. I was so lucky and for only once I get to ask for this only.
Look at the yummy sauce that makes my saliva drips continuously.

There are a lot of other options can be put in your rojak. It is totally vegan. It is made by this guy with one of his partner.

These are the options you can order
Rojak with Squid and Egg (RM4.50 around $1.40)
Rojak with Squid (RM4.00 around  $1.20)
Rojak with Egg (RM4.00 around $1.20)
Normal Rojak (RM3.50 around $1.10)

Usually Malaysians will order Rojak with Egg where the eggs taste absolutely amazing with the sauces they've put in.

If you are heading to this rojak stall, you may have to queue up at least 5-15minutes depends which period you're going.

This is one of the picture while waiting for the long queue.

Their opening hours usually from 1100hours to 1800hours daily. You may check out their address @ Rojak SS15.

After finishing your appetizer, drinks will be served. No one could ever resist Cendol especially in a hot country like Malaysia.

This is how they pack when you asked for a takeaway. The brown liquid at the bottom is gula Melaka (a special made sugar syrup from Melaka), top up with coconut milk and a packet of ice with the greenish jelly-like stuff.

This is a closer look when you "dine-in" which you can get this at a cheaper price because you get less portion. The price range from RM 1.80 to RM 2.50. This cendol stall is on the top-10 cendol stall in Kuala Lumpur.

This is located 2 stalls next to Rojak stall, which is 5 seconds walking distance I believe. The address as shown.

Look at the queue again, you literally have to queue up for this from time to time. It opens everyday 1000hours to 1600hours or 1700hours depends when they've finished selling their drinks.

This is the top 10 recommended drinks to try in Malaysia. Usually Chinese cendol and Indian cendol have different taste, you may try both of them.

Without further ado and your half or almost full tummy, let's get into our main course.

Let's try the Malay Nasi Lemak which is located in between Rojak and Cendol stall. This is literally the cheapest and the most delicious nasi lemak I've ever had. The price range from RM 1.50 to RM 4.50 ($0.50 - $1.40). Nasi lemak's meat has a great variation except pork because Malaysia is a Halal country.

Sambal (a kind of red chili paste as shown in the picture) is the soul of nasi lemak. They are so great that I couldn't use words to describe them. A kind tips : ask for the crisps beside fried chicken, it's free and it goes so well with whatever that is on the plate to be served.

 Get ready for dessert yay??

This is Indian fried food as you can see in the photo, personally recommend curry puff which is amazing but not like holy grail food like what I've mentioned earlier but it's good enough to be served as dessert.

If you would want Malay fried food they're right at the back at these stalls. Both Indian and Malay fried food are pretty cheap with RM 1 ($0.30) you'll get like 3-5 fried food with your choice.

OR

You could get a refreshing drink like coconut water to let the food run down to your stomach because I know you'll be super full.

In this little corner or street you may find most of the Malaysian food which people claim that they're extremely good here, but there's always something you'll need to pay off in order to get good treats, the pay off for these good food is------you'll have to stand and enjoy your food as well as taking in the heat in the afternoon.

This is a roadside view of the food stalls at the opposite side of the road. As you can see people tend to sit in the hot sun on a road bump to enjoy the good food. Therefore, you know how tasty is the food is, people sacrifices for them.

Hope you enjoy this and have a good week

Banana Pancake | Clean Food

Hey there everyone, Mondays are no more BLUE when pancakes are there for you and most IMPORTANTLY they're clean which is good for health and it's the easiest pancake ever with only 2 ingredients needed .
 ________________________________________________________________________

Banana Pancake & Whey Protein Chocolate Shake

Ingredients

Banana Pancake
1 large Banana
2 Eggs
PAM (or you can use any low calories oil)
Maple Syrup (optional - unhealthy)

Whey Protein Chocolate Shake
2 tablespoons of Whey Protein Powder (Chocolate)
1.5 cup of Skimmed Milk (you can use Almond Milk instead)
 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Essence
9 -10 Ice-Cubes

Steps
First, slice the banana into small pieces and place them into a bowl so that it's easier to mash and mix with the eggs. Followed by cracking 2 eggs into the same bowl.

Now, you may use a whisker or a spoon to mash and combine them together until a thick paste is achieved.

It doesn't matter if there's still bananas in there because it will have a better smell with the bananas. While whisking, heat up your pan in low heat. When it has been heated up, spray in some PAM and start scooping the batter onto the pan.

Ta-daaaaaa, the delicious and yummy banana pancakes are achieved. For more taste or a little cheaty, place 2-3 tablespoons of maple syrup on them.

With this recipe, I'm able to make 18-20 small pancakes. I like to make small pancakes as a tiny snake because they need not to be cut and who has ever tried 1 bite pancake? =D

This recipe is inspired by Blogilates (Cassey Ho) who is a fitness blogger and Youtuber that teaches us great workout and clean food recipes.

Here's a picture of her with her banana pancakes using the same recipe.

Tips : You may top up your favorite fruits to fulfill your taste buds or peanut butter.

For whey protein chocolate shake, you just need a smoothie blender, place all the ingredients into the bottle and blend it up.

This completes a gorgeous breakfast to start off the day. This is a great pre or post workout meals because they're high in protein and low in carbs.

At LAST, take a great picture of them and post it on Instagram or Twitter and tag me @cereslys

DoughNut | Homemade

Sorry I've not been updating you guys for a month due to my contract work.
Guess what? As the title said, today I'm going to share a homemade doughnut recipe with you guys. It's unhealthy but who cares, it's Sunday, which is "free eating" day.

Without further ado, LET'S GET STARTED.
 ________________________________________________________________________

DOUGHNUT RECIPE

Ingredients

(For Pastry)
3 1/4 cups of Plain Flour
1/4 cup of Brown Caster Sugar
3 teaspoons of Dry Yeast
Pinch of Salt
250ml of Warm Milk
100g of Butter
3 Egg Yolks
Oil (I personally use Grape-seed Oil)

(For Toppings)
1 Cadbury Chocolate Bar
1/4 cup of Unsalted Butter
1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
Chocolate Rice
Powdered Sugar
 Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1/2cup of Milk

Tools Needed
A Big Mixing Bowl
Towel
Pan
Cookie Cutter / Round-shaped Bowl
Paper Towels

Steps
Mix the dry ingredients (plain flour, salt, dry yeast and sugar) in your big mixing bowl.
Then make a well and add in the wet ingredients (warm milk, butter and egg yolks) together and mix well until it becomes a sticky pastry.

Egg white you may use it for further healthy cookings or as an egg white mask =D

Knead the dough on a well-floured surface until smooth. Then, grease your mixing bowl and place the dough in it. Cover the bowl with a towel and wait for 1.5hours for it to rise.

This is my risen dough with the help of my cousin sister.

Take 1/4 of the dough and place it on a well-floured surface on your table.
Knead the dough for 2 minutes and roll it up to a flat dough about 1cm thick.

Then, for me, I use a bowl instead of cookie cutter because I don't have any round shaped cookie cutter and cut out a round shaped dough.

This is the time we get ourselves dirty. The one on the left is my sister.
For the middle circle, I've used a smaller round shaped object to cut it out.

Leave it aside for 15 minutes to rise a little bit more for the soft bun bite.
This is the first batch of doughnuts that are ready to be fried.

Now, you may heat up your pan and fill your pan half full with your oil.
When the oil is boiled, you may start putting in your doughnut, one to three at a time depends how many you can handle.
Place the paper towels beside your stove for the doughnut to be transferred on for oil absorb purpose.

Fry for a few minutes and turn over the doughnuts for another side to be fried.
With this is going on, I have my second batch of doughnut chilling at aside.

The leftover dough I've made it into a ball shape so no food is going to be WASTED.
This is how you chill your doughnuts.

Opps sorry for the first trial on the bottom (left).
When they're chilling, you make may your toppings.

The EASIEST topping is pour in some powdered sugar on a plate, then mix with a little cocoa powder/cinnamon then dip in your doughnut. (Third doughnut counting from the nearest one.)

For chocolate glazed doughnut, melt butter and chocolate in a bowl, then add in vanilla extract after the mixture has cooled down. Dip your doughnuts in and pick it up nicely. You may leave it like that or you can top it up with chocolate rice as I did. (The nearest doughnut.)

For snowy glazed, put 1/2 cup of milk into a bowl, add in powdered sugar to get a thick consistency, then your may dip in your fried doughnut. You may add chocolate rice if your wish to. (Second doughnut starting from the nearest one.)

With this recipe you may make around 15-18 doughnuts and it also depends on the size of your circle. So you're able to share with your friends and families.
