Food Finder | Subang Jaya

Beep beep beep...Food finder on the GO, Tuesday is far from Friday, we need goody food to satisfy our cravings.

Get your taste buds ready and FOLLOW me.

We'll start off with appetizer / side dish of the day with this EXTREMELY famous Rojak (Indian Mix Vegetables with special Sauce)

Yes!!! This is the only Roadside Rojak Stall that offers me crisps only. I was so lucky and for only once I get to ask for this only.
Look at the yummy sauce that makes my saliva drips continuously.

There are a lot of other options can be put in your rojak. It is totally vegan. It is made by this guy with one of his partner.

These are the options you can order
Rojak with Squid and Egg (RM4.50 around $1.40)
Rojak with Squid (RM4.00 around  $1.20)
Rojak with Egg (RM4.00 around $1.20)
Normal Rojak (RM3.50 around $1.10)

Usually Malaysians will order Rojak with Egg where the eggs taste absolutely amazing with the sauces they've put in.

If you are heading to this rojak stall, you may have to queue up at least 5-15minutes depends which period you're going.

This is one of the picture while waiting for the long queue.

Their opening hours usually from 1100hours to 1800hours daily. You may check out their address @ Rojak SS15.

After finishing your appetizer, drinks will be served. No one could ever resist Cendol especially in a hot country like Malaysia.

This is how they pack when you asked for a takeaway. The brown liquid at the bottom is gula Melaka (a special made sugar syrup from Melaka), top up with coconut milk and a packet of ice with the greenish jelly-like stuff.

This is a closer look when you "dine-in" which you can get this at a cheaper price because you get less portion. The price range from RM 1.80 to RM 2.50. This cendol stall is on the top-10 cendol stall in Kuala Lumpur.

This is located 2 stalls next to Rojak stall, which is 5 seconds walking distance I believe. The address as shown.

Look at the queue again, you literally have to queue up for this from time to time. It opens everyday 1000hours to 1600hours or 1700hours depends when they've finished selling their drinks.

This is the top 10 recommended drinks to try in Malaysia. Usually Chinese cendol and Indian cendol have different taste, you may try both of them.

Without further ado and your half or almost full tummy, let's get into our main course.

Let's try the Malay Nasi Lemak which is located in between Rojak and Cendol stall. This is literally the cheapest and the most delicious nasi lemak I've ever had. The price range from RM 1.50 to RM 4.50 ($0.50 - $1.40). Nasi lemak's meat has a great variation except pork because Malaysia is a Halal country.

Sambal (a kind of red chili paste as shown in the picture) is the soul of nasi lemak. They are so great that I couldn't use words to describe them. A kind tips : ask for the crisps beside fried chicken, it's free and it goes so well with whatever that is on the plate to be served.

 Get ready for dessert yay??

This is Indian fried food as you can see in the photo, personally recommend curry puff which is amazing but not like holy grail food like what I've mentioned earlier but it's good enough to be served as dessert.

If you would want Malay fried food they're right at the back at these stalls. Both Indian and Malay fried food are pretty cheap with RM 1 ($0.30) you'll get like 3-5 fried food with your choice.

OR

You could get a refreshing drink like coconut water to let the food run down to your stomach because I know you'll be super full.

In this little corner or street you may find most of the Malaysian food which people claim that they're extremely good here, but there's always something you'll need to pay off in order to get good treats, the pay off for these good food is------you'll have to stand and enjoy your food as well as taking in the heat in the afternoon.

This is a roadside view of the food stalls at the opposite side of the road. As you can see people tend to sit in the hot sun on a road bump to enjoy the good food. Therefore, you know how tasty is the food is, people sacrifices for them.

Hope you enjoy this and have a good week ❦

My Big Day

Today is the DAY I've been waiting for 2 months. I've been afraid of today because it is RESULTS DAY.

I slowly pulled out a paper which contains the information I need to log on to the web for my results to be seen. I've planned to log on to the website using my phone because this gives me more privacy.

Hmm, it's considered above average but I wouldn't tell my results online. =P
 ________________________________________________________________________

Later, of course I gotta pack up my used papers for recycle purpose. Here is some "trash" that I would miss a lot so I took a photo of them.

These are some papers that helped me through my studies for one and a half years.
( P.S - p.y.p : Pass Year Papers )
Top Left : Notes while doing my p.y.p.
Top Right : Chemistry booklet that's what you all need while doing Chemistry p.y.p.
Bottom Left :  Physics p.y.p. and lab manual.
Bottom Right : Mathematics Formula Sheet (extremely USEFUL)

These are the summarized needs in Cambridge A levels. It is all about pass year papers and notes, these two are the main thing you'll need to get ready for the exams.
The results are the proof of your effort, so I think my effort actually quite been paid off.

There goes the LUNCH time. Burgers, Burgers and more Burgers!!!
I've been keeping myself from burgers for 2 months now, but it has been broken today.

Instead of these fries and burgers,

I've had a better one from Big Hug Burger (Big Hug Burger's Link) .

The restaurant is cutely designed with bears and goodies on the wall. The owner of the shop is extremely friendly and they have the biggest chicken burgers in town.
Drinks recommended : Lemonade, extremely tasty, the lemons used do not have strange taste.

Their opening hours written is Monday - Saturday ( 12.30pm to 10.30pm )
I went there once at 4pm they have breaks for a few hours which disappoints me and my friends. So, what they've written online is not true.

There is the big hug logo, they have the great sauces for the burgers. Their recommendation is chicken burgers, if you ordered beef or fish burgers, it'll be normal size not as big as those chicken burgers for the same price.

Look at those delicious burgers. Compare the size of the normal chips to the burgers. For me, I couldn't finish a whole burger, I chose to share with my friends.

After that, I was extremely full and I just feel like walking around on and on to digest them.
Overall rating of the restaurant is : 8.5 / 10.0
They do have FREE snacks available.

The "NO NO" s of the shop are :
Food waiting time is quite long
 Opening hours are quite short
Limited buns and meats are available

TEATIME

I literally had few pots of Chinese tea on my teatime because I hope it helps me on my digestion with these food in my stomach.

My mum got us a new cup and pot which is so nice.

I feel like I've gone back to the Kings time where they used to drink with this type of cup.
Conclusion, I think Chinese tea really helps in digestion, I don't feel so full in my stomach now.

My journey of study hasn't ended yet, so I'll continue studying hard to have my dreams came true. *Finger Crossed* Hope everything happened to me will be smooth and my wishes will come true.

Although I'm waiting for my university to begin, I have some maths-life related photo to show you.

Hmm, this is what I think it's quite true.

By the way, Mathematics has been my favorite subjects all the time since young. I would like to confess to Mr. Math : "Math, I'd loved you for a long long time, I know we both have never failed each other for 10+ years. Let's be together forever."  =P

How's your results for those who just got their results?
I think everyone should celebrate after you get your results because no matter what your results are, you've worked hard for it, you definitely deserve a treat after that.

Durian Feast | Raub

It's almost end of the durian season, which means durians are the best at this moment.
My brother decided to bring my family to a durian buffet at Raub Durian Orchard .

After 4 hours of heavy traffic, because today is the first day of Hari Raya ( Malays New Year ), which we only need an hour to reach if there wasn't any traffic problems. We'd finally reached our destination.

Village looked roads for 1 kilometer until we reached the final destination.

And...We're high up above the jungles.
After stretching, we started our durian buffet.

Do you know how to differentiate these durians? There you go, you know now. =D

They've built a sort of "balcony" look dining place which looks like this.

I was wondering from the first ever time I saw those words. Is it HEAVEN or HAVEN? =X

These are the buckets of durians we get to choose from.
Conclusion : D160 and Musang King durians are the best. =D

D160
Musang King

These are two of the durians I've had.
After finished eating, my sister and I planned to have a tour in his durian orchard.
This is the view beside the balcony a.k.a. dining place.

A walkway down to the orchard but we decided not to walk the "proper" way down to the orchard. We took another path beside this passage. Wrong Turn 8 is going to happen. =D

There is a villa, called Villa Musang King, beside the walkway.

I'm not sure if this is a villa, because I feel like the woods do not give enough support.

The toilets are over there. Latest trend - open-aired toilet. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw this.
What is the use of the bench beside those toilet bowls?
To watch the people beside while they're having their own business?

After quite some walking distance, we found here deep in the durian orchard full of riped durians.
We were afraid they'll fall on our head. =X

We were recording the moment of it dropping and hoping we could get it and have this FRESH dropped durian. But when it dropped, it fell off to the drain and we left nothing. =(
It resisted to die in our mouth.

Finally we picked up one freshly dropped durian, but the workers there said it wasn't ripe to have it.
So it has gone into the rubbish bin.

We ended up looked for a CUTE looking durian from the bucket they offered and ate it.
It wasn't that good compared to the one we had earlier.

We saw this honey selling beside the durian stall, they said " No Bee No Durians".
After I've lived for so long and ate durians for all these years, this is the first ever knowledge I learnt from this orchard. I don't know whether it's true because I never google it up. =X

It's an awesome experience visiting the durian orchard but I'll only go for once because it's too far from my house and I can get better ones around my area. Time consuming is a big problem.
A friendly reminder : Give them a call before visiting them because they need to make reservation for you.

Penang Trip | 3 Days 2 Night

Off we GO~~
We (my sisters and I) took an early flight around 6.30am from Kuala Lumpur to Penang.

During the flight we saw this coconut tree-styled houses and we thought it's so cool, so we took a picture of them.
Few days later when we are back to Kuala Lumpur, they officially announced that they are holiday villas and just opened for tourist.
Hmm, I guess we are the first one took a picture of it :D

Out of boredom and the sun has risen and we're back to kids time. We used the reflection of sunlight using my phone. Sorry uncle but we ROFL-ed because of this.

After 45 minutes, we had finally reached our destination. We took a cab to our hotel and unpacked our luggage then went to a nearby bicycle shop to rent a bike.

(My younger sissy on my right)

Caps and sunglasses on, we're heading to our first ever planned destination.

( Iced Coffee with Milk )                                            ( Cheesy Chili Penang Noodles )

Dayum yum yum, filled our stomach with this after a long flight. The chilli noodles are too spicy, so I couln't finish. We ended up ordering 2 drinks each because it's too spicy.

We'd visited the 3D Art Museum a.k.a. "Made in Penang" and a few places. We were back to hotel and had a short break before we go for our dinner.

Dinner time, yayyyy~~ Who isn't excited for this table of FOOD <3
We started off this "Lok Lok Feast" with these.

We took the bus back to our hotel, which is FREE :D
AND....Here comes the famous stall, Nasi Kandar Beratur , luckily we went early,
hence we didn't need much time to line up for this.

Off to bed after a tiring cycle day with a stomach full.
What is keeping fit? Hmm, leave me alone. xD

( Typical American Breakfast )                                    ( Super Tiny BANANAS )

Provided by the hotel. Our hotel is Ryokan @ Muntri Street .

 Walking down the antique street.

A camera museum pops out, pretty designed museum with lots and lots of old camera.

We took a bus to the awesome and my most favorite destination to get my favorite food.

( Egg Tarts from Ming Xiang Tai )

After visiting a few places, we decided to take a shower in our hotel
before going to the night market.

On the way back we saw this souvenir shop, full of cute little souvenirs.

I'd bought a socks look-ed purse. It is so cute.
There are other things I never buy but I think it's cute so I've snapped a picture of it.

Little tea leaves pot, it is so cute, who can say NO to them.

Random things with at a corner.

The last part of the day - Night Market.

It looks cute but it doesn't taste good. It's just a simple fried soft shell crab which I can still feel the un-softed legs on my tongue.

After that, we got a drink here in Reggae Mansion Penang .

That's it for Penang trip, after a long sleep and we went home.

A dream view of the sunset.

Night is coming, it is full of darkness and terror.
